Firelighting at the Barkers

To take advantage of the light nights Lucy wanted to teach us how to light a fire - something we rarely do on actual camps. I actually learned alot from it and especially not to get burned haha. The girls got to learn that (I hope!) and then we ate some lovely smores some ham and cheese parcels and banana boat well I think its called that. Lucy and me just said a yummy -bananary- chocolatey-thing in foil. Then we were able to talk and some was bouncing on the trampoline. So once again...lets re-run the fun and show you some photos!

Modesty Activity

So for EFY and Camp and general living standards our church believe in being modest at all times. This includes no plunging neck lines no spaghetti straps - no skirts above the knee and keeping clean and groomed. So we decided to go ahead with a quick prep for this and get the girls to firstly make modest style outfits I scored them on different things like team work, details and cleaning up as well as how modest the dress actually looked. Once these had been modelled by Ellie and Naomi we had Clio speak to us about how we can wear modest things today and what to wear if things are too short etc. I found it helpful myself as Clio always looks amazing but always modest.
